WELCOME TO CHIRPY BAKERS

Saving the world one brownie at a time.

Home: Welcome

"As the population of our planet increases, so will the demand for food. Our traditional sources of meat and fish won't be enough to feed us all. Perhaps you think that eating insects sounds disgusting? Well, most of the world's population eats them on a regular basis. From Asia to the Amazon, insects form an important part of diets."
Bear Grylls.

OUR PLANET NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Current food demands are putting a strain on our planet. Many of our sources of protein come from animals high up the food chain. These take up lots of space, require deforestation, use pesticides, need huge amounts of energy and resources to produce and release damaging gases. Livestock production is one of the biggest contributors to the climate crisis.

Insects are low on the food chain. In addition to being super efficient  at producing protein, they take up very little space, energy or resources. Hopping in with 69% protein,  packed with amino acids, vitamins and minerals they are the super heroes of nutrition.

Chirpy Bakers is an educational resource that explores the benefits of insects as an alternative source of nutrition.

We provide adventurous, fun and innovative workshops that provides a sustainable solution to the populations demand for nutritional food.

Feeding the world without starving the planet.
